My wife's new Esprit watch
My wife's Guess Steel quartz watch died. Now I know why quartz watch doesn't value much after years. The quartz movement does not last long and probably not worth it replacing with a new quartz movement. Hence, she got herself a new Esprit quartz watch for RM340, studded with diamonds, probably just crystals. Let see this one can last how long.

My first Casio
Bet you must be thinking it's a G Shock but I'm not so interested in those bulky plastic watch. It's a hunting watch, with moon phase, thermometer, world time and hunting indicator. Doubt I'll ever use that hunting indicator function cause I don't hunt or fish. Apparently, that HUNT signal will prompt you to hunt cause that is the ideal time when animal will come out to look for food. Not sure how accurate that HUNT indicator is. Then there is this thermometer which is hardly accurate cause the reading will be affected by your body temperature. To get an accurate room reading, you will need to take off the watch, leave it on the table etc. and wait for awhile. The glass isn't scratch proof but the whole casing is stainless steel. The blue backlit illuminator is quite useful. Often wear it at sleep now and can easily look at the time in my dark bedroom. But not sure if the illuminator will drain up the battery quickly.
I actually bought it at RM200 as used watch from my dad cause he has too many watches and this is probably one that is least worn by him.
Dimension:
Diameter - 43mm
Lug to lug - 49mm
Lug width - 22mm
Thickness - 13mm

My first Seiko chronograph quartz
My wife bought me another Seiko for my birthday recently, this time a quartz movement with chronograph dial face design. It uses a 7T92 quartz engine and comes with sapphire glass crystal but no see through back casing. Water resistant good for 10 bar or 100m. Cost around RM800. Have not really explore the buttons and tachymeter function. Not likely to be useful to me. Understand that this a 130th Seiko anniversary watch based on the newspaper advertisement which also feature Huang Li Hom.

Gift from my dad
My dad collects lots of watch and he can't actually wear all of them. So gave me one of his. This is a replica Tag Heuer, the movement can be hacked and manually winded. It also keeps the day, date and 24 hour indicator in chrono style. But I find that the dial face a bit too cluttered and difficult to see. The dark illumination is also very poor, only the two hands illuminate slightly. But the power reserve is tremendously long, I felt that it's even longer than my Seiko 5 Superior. The sealing is a bit inferior. There was once my dad told that the watch fogged up during his visit to Beijing in winter.

My wife's Baby G
Bought this Casio Baby G for my wife on a special occasion. She actually wanted a full pink Baby G but it cost around RM360 at that time. Bought her this model instead at RM230 with some slight pink line on the strap only.

My wife's first Seiko
Bought my wife her first mechanical watch to replace her aging cheapo Q&Q watch for a special occasion many years ago. It was a Seiko 5 with 4206 movement which cannot be hacked but can be winded automatically or manually by turning the crown when fully pressed. However, unlike those current line ups of the 5s for the guys, this lady watch does not have a see thru back case, it's full stainless steel. As always, ladies' automatic watch is always cheaper, i got this for RM150 only.
This Seiko no longer keep time accurately and need to be recalibrated. She then got a Bonia quartz watch after that as her main watch.
